Here is my personal experience with BestBuy in-store purchases.
In a pandemic, lots of things get delayed and appliances/homes are not exceptions. So only planning well in advance is the best option. So I did the same thing, in Oct 2021 booked the fridge and washer / dryer and expected to be delivered on 28th Jan, 22. And a day before (27th Jan) visited the store to check if my order, 100% confirmed on track. To our surprise, the Washer/Dryer was delivered but not the fridge. When enquired over the phone (no response) and had to visit the store. Finally, the salesperson revealed that the ordered fridge is discontinued and on;y options: Select another model in the same brand (no additional cost) or cancel it. Cancel is not an option but ended up with another model though 100% we did not like it. As it will take one more week to deliver after much debate store manager gave INSIGNIA FRIDGE at no cost, with the assumption that it would be delivered in 5days. Unfortunately on the day of delivery heavy snowstorms could not deliver. It's the consumer's responsibility to re-book the delivery date and another 5 more days waiting. On 11th Feb, the delivery team noticed a damaged product and notified Geek Squad. As I had 15guests at home, though it's damaged I kept it on the promise to replace it with a new one. Call -2 rebooking. Another 7 more are gone, delivery guys noticed driveway to my home is not stable, so no delivery. Called customer service, again re-booked delivery (Call -3) and on 23rd Feb, Geek Squad came replaced damaged parts (Door and Filter Cover) instead of replacing the complete piece. The reason my driveway is not stable. FYI - On the same driveway, I take in/out my cars (Honda CR-v and Corolla) daily. They have promised me compensation and had to call multiple times to 1-888 and every time had to explain to people what happen from beginning and none call back if calls got dropped. As I can't spend any more time, accepted compensation of 8% of my product cost and planning to cancel my Best Buy Credit Card, 5 years warranty, and no more business with BestBuy.com. Best of luck if purchased with Best Buy.
