Unresponsive claims department

I had a stove delivered last Tuesday, 2/20/18. The following day, I went outside and discovered that the delivery truck ruined our front lawn/sidewalk when it left. It seemed the tire went over the sidewalk and into the grass, creating a crater and ruining the area completely. 

 

The grass for the entire block is brand new because we just had our street paved. I'm surprised our neighbors have not complained. My husband and I are outraged that the delivery crew didn't even take a minute to address this. 

 

I contacted BestBuy and was given the phone number to the claims department. Today is the fourth day that I have tried to talk to someone. No one ever picks up the phone. I've left 2 detailed messages with our OMS# for reference, and have not received any type of response. 

 

Is this the standard practice? Does the company expect me to simply lose interest and not follow up so they don't have to correct their mistakes? 

 

Practically all stores now offer price match; frankly customer service is what sets them appart for me. I hate to spend money at a place, where I'll be ignored once my credit card charge clears.

It’s discouraging to hear that during you recent delivery your lawn was torn up, and you’re having difficulties getting some help. I’d be happy to see how I may be able to assist you further.

 

Can you please confirm if you’ve filed a claim already? It sounds like you may not have been provided the correct phone number if you’re looking to file the claim. You can give our third party partner Sedgwick Claim Management a call at 1-800-620-7409. I’m sorry if that’s not the same number you were initially provided. If you’ve already file your claim can you please send me your claim number, and phone number in a private message? You can send me a private message by selecting the blue “Private Message” button next to my name at the bottom. Once I have those details I’d be happy to request a follow up on your behalf.

Thank you for your response. On March 1, 2018, I contacted Sedwich Claim Management at the 800 number you provided. I was able to speak with a representative and open a claim. REGRETTABLY I was told that the "Ridgefield" office would be in charge of my claim. At that moment I was provided with the same number I was initially calling - 855-832-1338. 

So, here we are again. I have reached out to that office and noone answers. I'll send you my claim number via private message and hopefully someone will care enough to answer your query.

 

I am really trying to give Best Buy a chance to address this issue. I understand that Sedwick is a third party but at the end of the day BestBuy is held responsible for the company it chooses to do business with.

Thank you so much for sharing more about your experience with me. As I stated prior moving forward partnering with Sedgwick is the best option available. I’ve received your private message with your claim number, but that same message didn’t include your best phone number for Sedgwick to give you a ring at. Did you ever get anywhere with this?! I’m in the same boat with Sedgewick and I’m on week 4 of getting nowhere!!!
