Terrible first-time experience

I recently acquired a bestbuy credit card with the purchase of my new home. I purchased a washer and dryer set through bestbuy with the deciding factor being the promised delivery and installation. The day came and after waiting all day on my only day off I finally waited even more after contacting bestbuy for them to try and see what had happened due to the no show of the delivery team. First, the manager tried telling me the team had arrived earlier than expected and found no one home. I was home all day and this was clearly a lie. The delivery team also claimed they left a note after they attempted to deliver. This was not true as myself and roommate were home all day. There was no note left anywhere. The manager then promised a $25 gift card to somehow make up for my only day off being totally wasted waiting and then being called a lier. I was told I could pick up this little card at the store the following Sunday, my next day off, at my convenience. I went this morning and made a payment towards my card balance and asked for the card and there was nothing left for me. So now I ask, exactly how many times is bestbuy going to gladly take my money and fail to follow through on their promises? It's ridiculous to waste the very little personal time I have getting frustrated on the poor shortcomings of this company. On the paperwork upon delivery, the same story states I was not home and I missed the appointment. I do not appreciate the poor level of customer service. This needs to be rectified immediately. I was so excited to get all my new appliances and gadgets for my new home and now all I have is the bad taste in my mouth when I even think of bestbuy. The manager I spoke with was Christian at the fountains of farrah location here in el paso, tx.

Re: Terrible first-time experience

Greetings Elmanfrk90-

Welcome to the Best Buy forums!  I could only imagine how frustrated you must have been to be told you were not home when you took the day off.  Whatever the circumstance, please accept our apologies for any troubles this may have caused.

That said, I’m thankful to see the next day your appliances were delivered!  I’d be unable to assist you with any options that have been provided by a store or their leaders, but I would recommend reaching back out to the manager you talked to about the $25 gift card.  Although I couldn’t promise a different outcome will occur we’re grateful you stopped by to let us know about this!

Please let us know if we can assist you with anything else after you speak with the store.

Re: Terrible first-time experience

Thanks for literally not doing anything. I had to call the manager again to get anywhere. It's a rare thing indeed to get somewhere with a manager than actual corporate. And even then, it was a $25 credit for an embarrassing display of "customer service". This is the first, only and last time I deal with bestbuy. I am taking my business elsewhere from now on. Good riddance.
