Stereo Installation then dead battery

[ Edited ]

We bought a car stereo at Best  Buy and had it installed at Best Buy in my sons truck.  A few days later he had a dead battery.  We had our car insurance road side assistance come out and give him a jump and he took it to a automotive repair shop to determine why his battery was dead.  It was determined it was because of the stereo, which had a bad axxess adapter.  But, we had to pay the shop $112 to get the dead battery diagnosed.  I have spoke with the manager Marisa at the Camelback location and sent her my information and she does not get back to me.  I made a claim with Sedgwick and have left several messages with Zachery {removed per forum guidelines} and he does not call me back.  I would like to get reimbursed the $112 but everyone seems to be blowing me off now.

Re: Stereo Installation then dead battery

Hello, VickiPuarieaKirby,

Welcome to the community! We appreciate you reaching out to share your recent experience. Having a new stereo installed is something to look forward to, and I am sorry to hear about the dead battery. Sedgwick Claims Management Services, Inc is the insurance company that underwrites Best Buy claims for property damage and personal injury that can occur during home deliveries or installations. They would be the ones to speak with about the outcome of the claim.

For the status of an existing claim, you would need to contact Sedgwick Claims Management Services, Inc at 1-855-832-1338. They will ultimately be the ones to determine how the claim will be handled. If further information is required from the store, a representative from Sedgwick will contact them directly with the request.  If you have other questions or concerns that we can help with, please let us know. We are always happy to help however we can.
