Shipping Estimates

I specially ordered from Best Buy along with paying for total tech because the shipping estimate was next day and price was same as other vendors. Local store had it but figured I’m paying enough might as well get the ease of it shipping to my door. Today received email that FedEx delivery was delayed and estimate was tomorrow to Saturday. Best Buy website says if not received by 21st then contact us. Reached out to customer service and they said ignore the email and hopefully they would get it to me within 24 to 48 hours. Apparently no option to just pickup locally instead. I understand the word estimate but why am I getting an email with inaccurate information or seeing post with misleading information on shipping timeline. These items make me question the business practices.

This not a big deal but we all understand the excitement of ordering something big and brand new. We set expectations in our mind and when they aren’t met it is disappointing.

Have learned my lesson though. If it’s locally available just go get it. Don’t trust shipping.
