Sedgwick claims not responding

 I have had, over the past 3 months, zero help from Sedgwick. In these forums, I see this isn't an uncommon problem. On Veteran's Day 2018, my dishwasher, purchased and installed from BB,  caught fire in the early morning while we were sleeping. Fortuantely, the smell of smoke woke me up and we were able to safely evacuate and I put it out with a fire extinguisher. Because it is potential product liability, BB "submitted a claim" to Sedgwick and refused to communicate further. I put "submitted a claim" in quotations, becasue when we FINALLY got someone with Sedgewick, they had no record of it. 


Sedgwick's response was they needed to kick it back down to BB becasue it was an installation error. But the dishwasher caught fire in the control board, so clearly they weren't given the correct info to process the claim. 


Any idea what the magic formula is to actaully make forward progress on this? I'm worried for the consequential damage that can occur beause of the damage to my counter and sink.

Welcome to our community.  Whenever I have something installed or delivered in my home, I trust that the teams who perform any work will treat my property with care and be sure to not cause any damages.  I can't imagine the stress of waking up to discover a fire in your home, and I'm so glad you and your loved ones are safe and sound.  That said, I'm unhappy to hear you're having trouble getting ahold of the right individuals to discuss your case, and I apologize for any added inconvenience this may have caused.
