Sedgwick Damage Claims Process is a Joke

I won’t even start with the problems with our delivery, but it has something g to with the delivery crew making a false claim of damage to the washer once they found out that our laundry room was on the 3rd floor. Of course they were obligated to return the washer for a replacement and thus our delivery/install didn’t happen. We waited another 5 days for another washer in the hopes that the delivery team would actually complete the delivery. Well, they did, but with damage to the wood floor. Not saying this wasn’t a hard delivery but I can’t expect we are the only household with wood floors that need to be cared for.
Next steps were to reach out to Best Buy to file a claim for the damage. I called the phone number to file the incident report and if I didn’t know better, I would assume this this the trap that Best Buy wants throw you into so as to not take responsibility. Today has been my 10th attempt and 12 th person to give me the same explanation that there is no claim that nothing has been logged and no record of my complaint. I am assured every time I speak to someone that my incident has been documented and pushed though but still, no action. I call back and it’s back to square one with having to explain. It’s been over a month now and my requests to escalate or speak to a supervisor comes back with comments like, “There is no escalation Path” or “Hold on for one moment…” and the long hold brings me to the very same place I first dialed.

This has got to be the most frustrating, time sucking, disappointing customer service experience of my life. I work for a media outlet that receives complaints like this from time to time because people threaten that they will take this to social media or the network. I prefer to not go in the direction of threats to make traction, but now I understand the desperation of trying to get help and there is nothing but more headaches.

How does Best Buy get away with treating faithful customers like this? We have spent a lot of money at Best Buy over the years. Not a cool Service model at all.

Please Beat Buy, do the right thing.
