Sedgwick + Best Buy = Big Scam

[ Edited ]

I bought a Bosch dishwasher and installation services from Bestbuy.com. Geek Squad came and installed it on 1/7/19.

We ran it three times before finding out to our horror that it was leaking and damaged our luxury vinyl floor. I called best buy and they asked me to call Sedgwick to file a claim. I filed a claim around 1/20/19. Claim number - {removed per forum guidelines}.

Thats when my nighmare started. Initially they emailed me to get the pictures of the damage and the an estimate. I provided both promptly and since then they have gone untraceable. Multiple emails and phone calls to the claims manager assigned to me have gone unanswered.  Its been two months since the time the claim was started and yet no progress has been made in resolving it.

I have spent thousands of dollars on the repair and countless number of hours trying to contact these people. It is a big sham. I have been a loyal customer of Best Buy and bought all my big appliances and electronics from them but this incidence has left a really bad impression. Whenever I have tried to call  Best Buy or Geek Squad, they refuse to help and keep referring me back to Sedgwick.

As I read other post regarding Sedgwick on this forum, its clear that I am not the only one suffering this fate. Others before me have gone through the same. It makes me think if Best Buy is really concerned about how customers are being treated by Sedgwick. If they were, then they would have done something about it by now.

It seems like the modus operandi at best buy is - if something goes wrong during installation and delivery then just let the customer deal with a non responsive insurance company and best buy gets to avoid having any thing to do with it.

The truth of the matter is, I bought the product and servies from Best Buy not Sedgwick, so why is it that when Best Buy's "delivery experts" screwed up, I am left to deal with Sedgwick. Its a big scam and Best Buy needs to do better than this.

Re: Sedgwick + Best Buy = Big Scam

Hello, drgoyalvinay,

Thanks so much for joining us at the Best Buy Community forums. I apologize that Sedgwick hasn’t followed up with you about your damage claim. I assure you that we don’t want something like this to happen.

Have you tried calling Sedgwick directly at (855) 832-1338? I know sometimes customers are given different numbers, but that is the best one to call to get in touch with them. They are closed on weekends, but you should be able to give them a ring tomorrow to hopefully get an update.

If you have already tried that number, or if it doesn’t work tomorrow please let me know. I’d just need you to send me a private message, through the link in my signature. Please include your name, email address, and phone number.

I can then reach out and see if we can reconnect you with someone at Sedgwick.

Sincerely,

Re: Sedgwick + Best Buy = Big Scam

I have tried this number and all the other numbers several times including a direct number to my claims manager Nicole. All lead to the same result - no response.
