Sedgewick and Bestbuy… When Will it End

My claim was closed after 4 months of no replies from Sedgewick… I compiled all of my emails and Sedgewick responded to 5% of them. None of which led to any resolution or help

The only reply in the past month was them telling me tome had run out… that’s it.

So many similar stories here - Best Buy, why are you allowing this to happen to all of us? We wanted to give you business, we wanted to enjoy your products… so why not help us?

Though I am unable to see the details of Sedgwick claims directly, I would be happy to look into this and see what our options for assistance may be. Brandon, thank you for your assistance. Your message through my private inbox resulted in the first phone call in months which seemed promising - unfortunately, after being promised a follow up 2 weeks ago. Sedgewick has again stopped communicating. Can we consider store credit options? It is clear I am saddly not being helped by your insurance company

Welcome back to our forums.  Brandon is unavailable at the moment, so I wanted to step in and make sure we’re addressing your post while he’s away.  While we’re unable to offer store credit for any sort of damage claim that is being handled by Sedgwick, I’ll be happy to follow up with them to see what we can do to get this claim resolved as soon as possible.

 

For me to get started, I’ll ask that you utilize the blue “Private Message” button in my signature to send me the following:

 

  • Your first and last name
  • Your phone number
  • Your email address
  • Your Sedgwick Claim ID #

 

As mentioned, be sure to use the blue “Private Message” button in my signature to get this sent my way, and if you’re accessing our site on mobile device, you may need to switch to “Full” or “Desktop” view before this button is visible to you.

Hey Sean, no disrespect intended, but I’ve been playing this back-and-forth game with you guys for way too long now. I have provided the information to maybe 12 different people. What makes you think the steps you’re gonna take for resulting in different action than one Brandon did

Furthermore, why can’t you ask Brandon for that information and handle it. These are clear stalling tactics Being played by all parties here and I just want To feel that what was done to my house mattered to you guys. The onus is on Best Buy.

Not only did the geek squad professional delivery drivers leave my house in shambles, Literally sneaking off after realizing the mistake, left my door off the hinges on a cold season, They left the unit directly in front of my own fire escape which I could not move alone, and the handrail leading to the basement is still not repaired meaning someone could be liable for an injury at any moment. These are coding violations, these are devastating hours I’ve spent trying to find an answer call grandma and you’ve literally just asked me a question that I was asked on the first day five months ago and dozens of times since. No thanks I’m not playing that game with you ask Brandon if you want the information you guys should have to do something at least right

It’s interesting, you guys were calling me every day up on the initial delivery. I was guaranteed a service, I was promised a product, and my place was destroyed and left with fire escape violations and stairwells just can’t even go on. You guys can’t even give me a store credit? So what are we gonna do because Sedgwick will not respond

My apologies if there was any confusion from my previous post.  As mentioned, Brandon is unavailable at the moment, so in order for me to assist with your claim with Sedgwick, I’ll need you to provide me with the information requested.  Additionally, in accordance with our Privacy Policy, we’ll be unable to discuss this claim with anyone other than the person listed on the claim, which is why myself and others have requested you verify this information with us previously. Finally, if your home was damaged as a result of the delivery or installation of an appliance from us, and needs to be repaired, this isn’t something that can be paid for with a Best Buy gift card.  As such, we’ll need to continue to work with the administrator of Best Buy claims for property damage that can occur during home deliveries, Sedgwick Claims Management Services, Inc.   

 

If you’d rather not provide me with the information requested, I recommend contacting Sedgwick directly at 877-308-5510 to request an update on the status of your claim.

Sean, you are correct. Contractors in my area will not accept store credit at Best Buy, as they've no faith in your product after repairing so many homes damaged by their services.

 

I too will no longer accept this form of compensation after your blatantly smug and sarcastic reply. Please inform me when Brandon is back and able to honor his word.
