Aug 21st - Purchased an LG refrigerator online with delivery, installation, and haul away old fridge options. Scheduled delivery was Aug 25th.
Aug 25th - Delivery crew came and brought the new fridge up to the apartment. One of the delivery guys complained that there was no parking, and that he had no time to wait for the water to be shut off, and he's only paid to get the fridge through the door. And then they just left!!! The new fridge was sitting in the middle of the living room, and the old one still in the kitchen. Also, they scratched the floor while moving it. I called the deliver company, they said to call Best Buy.
I called Best Buy. They apologized, told me they’d re-schedule it to Tue, Aug 30th from 7 to 1. I also asked where I could submit a claim for the damaged floor. The rep said they’d send me the info. He never did.
Aug 30th – At around noon nobody came, so I decided to call and re-confirm. The rep on the phone said the fridge was delivered, and nothing else was scheduled. Not even a “sorry” this time. When I demanded for someone to come and finish the install, she said the earliest time available would be Sep 1st. Another 2 days. She did not let me to talk to a supervisor or file a complain saying there’s no such department.
So as of now, I’m waiting for my 3rd appointment with new fridge in the living room and broken one in the kitchen, without any confidence that the situation will get rectified on Sep 1st. It will 10 days since I bought it.
The carelessness of the third-party delivery service, and Best Buy’s lack accountability and responsibility are astounding.
