It's no scam, First Choice needs to take it back to the storeor warehouse they picked it up from. If it's not back to the store/warehouse it can't be scanned back in, marked damaged, nor a replacement ordered. That's why it is still "in transit", because the item is not in your home and not back at the store/warehouse. I'm not sure why First Choice would hold onto it, in my market 3rd party installers are expected to either deliver or return everything same day before the end of day.
Hopefully a moderator can partner with someone to help get to the bottom of this.
