I went in two weeks ago to purchase a refrigerator. Paid nearly $1000 and had arranged for them to deliver it to my hoem. When the 2 delivery men arrived, they were to move my current refrigerator to the garage and place the new fridge in the kitchen. I had moved my car out of the way on the driveway so the delivery men would have more than adequate space to bring the fridge in and out. When the arrived, they decided to rather use the front door instead, even though the trip would be much more difficult for them. I asked whether I should move my car in that case, since I made a clear path for them through the garage which would make their trip to the kitchen 10 x's easier. They said that the car was fine and they would not have an issue going through the front door. They first proceeded to move the old fridge out the front door to the garage. When they brought the new fridge in, I noticed there was damage to the bottom left corner. When one of the delivery men noticed me looking at the damage to the new fridge, he proceeded to comment on it saying that it must have been a factory issue/manufacturer defect, and took a picture and told me that I could report it to best buy. The fridge was still wrapped and the damage was clearly done through transportation. When they had left, I looked at the path they decided to take around my driveway to get to the front door. They had hit my car on the passenger side directly in front of the rear tire. It was about a two inch scratch, which was directly in the path they took. Their footprints were still on the path they took directly next to my vehicle, which was brand new. I contacted best buy and informed them what they had done, and how they tried to hide the fact by saying it was a manufacturer's defect. They gave me the number to Sedgwick which is apparently the company that handles best buy's claims. I had sent images, written statements, spoke to different handlers, and they have not even ONCE responded! I brought the car to the shop and they said the damage they had caused was nearly $2000! Almost twice the cost of the fridge I had purchased. I sent emails to one of the persons in charge of the claim, and he told me to send more images of the property, the damage, the fridge, location, etc...Once I had did that, we clearly caught the delivery men's statement to be false since the way they said they delivered the fridge was physically impossible. They said they used the path to bring the fridge into my home, but it was clearly impossible because my car was blocking the path, which they said not to move. Once they delivered the fridge, they realized the original path I told them to take was the best route, which was through the garage, and they even commented saying.."Wow, you were right". Rather then lift the fridge over the curb, they decided to use the easy route which was up my driveway but by doing so, they hit my car when they were cornering to direct the fridge towards my front door. It's been over two weeks and not a single response from anyone!
