YW, I've been waiting since early June for Best Buy's claim management company (Sedgwick) to help with water damage to my house. If you can, go through your homeowner's insurance. They'll help you much, much faster and then work with Sedgwick to be reimbursed for the damages. I hope you can get resolution faster than I have! Good luck!

I've been waiting for Best Buy/Sedgwick (their claims manager) to help with water damage in my house for two months. Three weeks to hear from Sedgwick at all (Best Buy "can't do anything" once they refer you to Sedgwick). Seven weeks from my first contact from Sedgwick (basically an introduction) to my second contact (someone finally returned all the calls/emails I've sent into the void). Still no idea when I might be compensated for the damage.
I strongly recommend that you call your homeowners' insurance ASAP as they'll probably assist you right away. They can then subrogate all of the damages to Best Buy. Don't wait for Best Buy to help you. It won't be quick.
At the very least, hire someone to come remedy the damage to your home. Don't be like me and wait for weeks and weeks only to find out no relief is coming soon.
