Questions regarding refrigerator delivery

I have been looking to order a refrigerator from Best Buy, but have some questions regarding the delivery process.


My current to-be-replaced refrigerator does not have an ice maker, since I do not have a need for one. While the refrigerator I plan on buying has a water line connection for a water dispenser, I do not plan on installing the water line. If I opt-out of both the "Advanced Installation Including New Ice Maker Water Supply" and "Basic Installation to Existing Ice Maker Water Supply" on checkout, will the delivery people install the fridge door (doors need to be removed to fit into my house) and power on the refrigerator at the very least?


And Strangely enough, the check out page says "delivery as soon as Sat, Mar 9" to my zide code, but it also says "delivery + Installation is unavailable in your area" despite a BestBuy being 10 minutes drive away. Will this impact any part of the delivery process?

Thanks for the post! A refrigerator is a pretty big purchase so it's important to do your homework and know what you're getting into. You raise some good questions! 


The delivery-only service would indeed include both removal and re-attachment of the fridge doors if that's what's needed to be done to get the unit into your house. While it does include removal of exterior box and packaging material, what delivery does not include would be disconnecting an existing fridge or connecting the new one and powering it on.   


If you're in need of having the unit connected and powered on, which would be included in any installation service, I would recommend getting in contact with your local store so that they can double-check the installation options in your specific area.
