Property damage from delivery

Hello, 

I have tried calling the 800-304-1259 number for a couple of days and am not getting through to anyone. 

 

I had a fridge/washer/dryer delivered last week 8/31/2020 and there are two things that were damaged in the new home. The two delivery/install guys were in a rush and for that reason I think these damages were incurred. 

 

1) They damaged dry wall as they took the washer upstairs

2) They took out the front door (instead of taking out the fridge doors). I allowed them to do this but this was due to me not knowing that this could cause damage. By taking out the front door they damaged the configuration and thus there is a gap which allows air in and out of a previously perfect seal. 

 

They took a picture and said that they would have this resolved however, I have not heard anything back. At this point I would like to make a claim for the damages made.

TO EVERYONE WITH DAMAGES DURING DELIVERY

It seems like the bestbuy team has the capacity to reply to everyone who has had damages. I was scrolling through and found this reply to someone elses damages (this reply from the bestbuy team is from 9/10/2020). 

 

I wouls suggest go ahead and submit your claim asap so that it can get started. It seems like others have issues with Sedgwick so might as well get that started and move on to the next step.

This is definitely not the kind of experience we want for our customers, and we want to make sure this situation is handled properly moving forward.

 

I recommend filing a claim with Sedgwick Claims Management Services, Inc. They are the insurance company that underwrites Best Buy claims for property damage that may occur during home deliveries or installations.  To file a new damage claim, please connect with Sedgwick Claims Management Services, Inc at (800) 620-7409. Once your claim has been opened, you should be able to call (855) 832-1338 between 8 a.m. -  4 p.m. CT, Monday-Friday, to get updates on your claim status.
