I am an Best Buy Elite Member and just purchased a Maytag Gas Dryer from you. During the order process, I requested that the dryer door swing open to the left to accommodate the Maytag Washer I had purchased. It arrived on the scheduled delivery time. I paid for installation as well and when the service rep was walking out I asked him why he didn't replace the dryer vent that they said I needed and he said Oh don't worry you didn't need it. Needless to say I did need it because the clothes in the brand new dryer I purchased would not dry. Isn't that why I just replaced the old dryer. And also the door swung the wrong way and the service guy said he didn't do that and I would need to call Best Buy Customer Service to request a new service call. I called their customer service number and two appointments were scheduled -- one to put the vent on the new dryer and the other to reverse the door. Not sure why it couldn't be done by the same person. The first guy showed up to install the dryer. When we told him what we needed he said he couldn't do that and left. When my husband called customer service he was told that the second service call would handle both service requests. When no one showed up by 3pm we called Customer Service again and were told we had no service call. That the guy was out there and completed the service. So what the service guy did was cancel both calls. He said he didn't feel comfortable changing the door to the other side so he cancelled both calls. Can you imagine that. So I asked for a supervisor twice and both times I was told that someone would call me back and nothing happened. She also told me she was setting up a new service call on 3/31 which she never did. Now I have a $1,000 dryer that doesn't dry clothes and a Customer Service Department that obviously doesn't understand what Customer Service really means. My only option is to request that they pick up the dryer and give me a refund. And I will close my Best Buy Account down and NEVER purchase another thing from them again.
