July 2021 Order Continues to be Delayed!!!!!

Similar to other people, I am continuing to receive delays on my order. I ordered over $40k worth of Thermador products (which I paid for in July 2021) from Pacific Sales (part of Best Buy) and still don't have everything. Below is my timeline:

 

1. Placed my order for all Thermador appliances on July 31, 2021

2. Expected delivery date was November 27, 2021

3. On September 6, 2021 I received an email saying my order was delayed by about one month and they would have an update in a few days on ETA

4. I had to follow up on October 27, 2021 after hearing nothing more after the September 6 email

5. Response was that some of the items in my order have been delayed until December 28, 2021. Below was the updates on timing

 

Dishwasher - delayed till 12/14/2021
Blower connector-delayed 1/18/2022
Blower - delayed 12/28/2021
Refrigerator column- 11/23/2021
Range -1/9/2021
Hood - delayed 12/28/2021
Freezer column -12/28/2021
 
6. After following up with emails and phone calls, I received an update via email on December 22, 2021 (just prior to when I thought most items would be ready) with the following timing:
 
Dishwasher - new date 2/1/2022
Blower connector - 1/18/2022 ready
Blower - 12/28/2021 ready
Refrigerator column - 11/23/2021 ready
Range -1/9/2021 ready
Hood - new date 1/11/2022
Freezer column -12/28/2021 ready
 
7. Based on these updated timelines, we decided to start our renovation on January 12, 2022, as all the appliances were almost ready
8. They delivered the items above that were ready for delivery on January 18, 2022. At that time, I found out the hood should be available in early February 2022, while the the new date for the dishwasher was sometime in May 2022!!!!!
8. I have been following up weekly on the date for the dishwasher and hood. My salesperson was continuing to look into finding the dishwasher we ordered earlier than May 2022. but never mentioned any issue with the hood
9. On January 31, 2022 (today) I called to follow up on the status of these two remaining items and found out our hood is now delayed until June 2022. How is it possible only a short time before it was supposed to be delivered that it is now delayed for a further five months (almost a year since I ordered it)??
 
We are now in the middle of our kitchen renovation. We now don't have a kitchen and don't know when our contractor will be able to finish it, since he can't complete the renovation without the hood (we can live without the dishwasher, but not the hood as they can't even finish building it without that!!!).
 
This entire process has been extremely disappointing. We understand the challenges with the supply chain issues and COVID, but with the continued delays, lack of updates (they agreed to give us regular updates, but we never hear anything unless we follow up) and now the final straw was another five month delay for the hood?
 
Please someone from Best Buy/Pacific Sales help sort out these issues so we can get our kitchen completed in February 2022!!!!!!!!!

While we do our best to provide accurate delivery estimates, it is possible that the vendor may be unable to make a product available within the allotted timeframe as expected. Generally, if an order needs to be rescheduled, our agents will work to locate the earliest available date.

It's been about a week since I first posted this and wanted to share an update. Best Buy hasn't been able to find the two remaining items I ordered in July 2021 and have told me I will need to wait. The interesting thing (which I told Best Buy) is that yesterday I called another company that stocks Thermador products as I found they had the Custom Hood Insert available on the weekend. Unfortunately they are unable to deliver to CA, but I wanted to check to ensure they had the same item. I was informed they sold out over the weekend (which means they had it in stock). I asked them for details about how they had the item considering I’m going to be waiting almost 12 months to receive my order and they explained they ordered two of the Custom Hood Inserts (I confirmed the model number was the same as I have ordered) on January 10, 2022 and received the two items at the end of January 2022. If they can order this item last month and receive two of them within a few weeks of placing an order, how is it possible that an item I ordered from Best Buy/Pacific Sales in July 2021 is still unavailable and won’t be here until June 2022? At this stage I would not recommend buying Thermador appliances or through Best Buy/Pacific Sales, since it appears that smaller less known companies are able to stock appliances!!!!
