Installation - Turning a bad experience around - Kudos

Good Morning


I wanted to start by saying that, we buy all of our electronics from Best Buy and we never had this type of bad customer experience in the past,  this is why I knew we knew we just needed to get the rigth person on the phone.



That person was the Geek Squad supervisor - Brenda {removed per forum guidelines}



As a history on our dish washer issue:


  • The issue with the broken dish washer went on for SIX MONTHS
  • We had more than four calls to fix the old dishwasher
  • The time in beetween each visit  got longer and longer.
  • Having our sink cabinet flooded due to a pipe not being secured after "fixing" the dishwasher
  • Finally getting a replacement but being asked to pay for the installation 
  • Having the item be out of stock for weeks
  • Getting a brand new replacement that was found to be broken from the factory


Miss {removed per forum guidelines} went above and beyond to get the history of the issue and to get it resolved.


So we are clear, she came in halfway through our experience and had to deal with the delays but the difference was the above and beyond communications to ensure we knew what could be done and what could not be done. 


She returned emails and calls while she was out of office. One amazing idea was that she found our item in a store as a display and was able to work it out so we could trade our non-working dishwasher for that one. 


Now we are still working to get insurance claim check mailed and to resolve the installation refund but I wanted to ensure the Best Buy Corporate office was aware of the amazing employee Best Buy has in Miss Brenda {removed per forum guidelines}


I will be back buying all my gifts for the holiday and continuing to tell family and friends to buy their electronics from Best Buy, the only change will be that I will tell them to try and get any issues in our area escalated to Miss {removed per forum guidelines}.


As a last comment if there are any programs that Best Buy has to reward employees that go above and beyond to resolve an issue. I would like to nominate Miss {removed per forum guidelines}.
