Help please...

I originally went to the Best Buy in Winter Garden and they installed my new radio. They did such a botched up job, that I immediately called the sales rep in Lakeland who sold me the radio and he made an appt for me to come in and have them repair the installation. The minute I pulled out of the parking lot, my service engine light came on. He claimed it had nothing to do with them and just a coincidence. I then took my vehicle to Mazda and apparently the installation is what is causing my brake issues. They zip tied a wire from the radio to my brake harness and the ran the power to an ABS pump. With that being said, apparently the pump does not have enough power to run both my brakes and my radio. And the zip tie pulled to hard on the harness and broke it. I now have to replace both and this will cost in excess of $3000. I have been emailing and speaking by phone with the rep at the lakeland store. But the last email he said he was off the next two days and would get the claim info for me and reach out to the managers at both stores and get back to me. Well he has been back for two days and I have called and emailed and he does not respond. My car is still sitting at Mazda as I have no brake lights and it is dangerous to drive without properly working brakes. I would really appreciate some assistance in getting this resolved. I need for them to fix the installation for the third time! This is ridiclous! This radio has cost me $1400 and for a car, I think this is quite expensive. Thank you for your assistance.

Thank you for joining us at the Best Buy Community forums. I’m sorry to hear that your radio install went poorly.

What you’ll need to do is file a damage claim regarding this. The best way to do this would be to work with the store that performed the install for you. If you’d like to do that, please send me a private message by using the link in my signature. I’ll need your name, email address, phone number, and the customer service PIN from your receipt, if you have it.
