Grievances for Order Number - {removed per forum guidelines}

Hi Best Buy team 

 

This is regarding our very bitter experience  with Best buy for purchasing an Electric Dryer.  We are Elite best buy customers from last 5 years and we rely on best buy for all kind of our electronic needs.

 

We have ordered this item by visiting store on Jan 17th 2021 and requested for Delivery of this open Box item along with installation.  As part of the interaction , we checked  with technician if the dryer in working condition as they have in indicated status of the item as Fair.

 

Delivery date for this item has been agreed upon as Jan 26th. On the day of  delivery after blocking my time and walking into my house for Delivery, they mentioned its not in shape for delivery as it’s a defective item and I would need to work with the Customer Care for rescheduling/Further updates.

 

Delivery was rescheduled 4 times without proper intimidation to us . Each time we had to spend time on endless calls with customer care executives to understand the reason  and have been asked to book another time when Delivery can be made.  Whats surprising is Best Buy team was trying to fix the same dry and deliver it. I would have greatly appreciated if they would have informed honestly after one week that I would need to order a new dryer or tried to identify a similar dryer from another location

 

The experience has been mentally overwhelming and draining for us as as it took good 1 months to buy a wash dryer with several back and forth cancellations of the items from the best buy team.  Couple with this  agony  of  keep waiting for  being connected with Best buy executive with some call drops and  need to starting  explain whole story again to new executives as  from the beginning.

 

Even  when requested a call back to speak to Supervisor to address the grievances   and having a ticket Created, There has no call back being made. I waited for 2 days before calling again and was being transferred to a Supervisor to who offered me a Compensation of 80$.

 

 

This certainly is not acceptable.Firstly Best Buy should be accountable and responsible for Delivery of the ordered items and should provide a fair and honest response in terms of any slippages. Secondly Best Buy should not lets it suffer so much and should have some transparency in terms of processes.

 

I would like to demand an apology letter from the Best Buy with the way this has been handled and would like to understand if Best buy would be keen to retain me as  Customer.I Eventually ordered another Dryer From Best Buy  to avoid this Grind .

Thank you for joining our online community. It is always nice to hear from one of our loyal patrons, although I wish the reason for your correspondence were related to a positive experience. Finding a great deal on an open-box item is exciting. I am sure you were eagerly anticipating the delivery of this dryer. That said, I am sorry to learn the appliance was ultimately deemed to be defective. Based on your description, you spent quite a bit of time requesting support, which isn’t a reflection of the experience we aim to provide. While it sounds like you’ve since selected a new dryer, I sincerely apologize things did not work out with the original purchase.

 

I hope you will give us another chance to show you a better experience. I would love the opportunity to ensure your feedback is formally documented, as we’re extremely interested in learning what we can do to improve. Did they resolve your issues? I’ve gone through something similar except they didn’t even tell me about mine not making it. They left me waiting an entire day while I contacted over 4 agents. I then had to resume contacting and waiting on promises of Supervisors calling me back. Offered me $175 that’s after costing me two days of work that were not properly requested off because they were unplanned and because of the time frame. Two days losing over $400.00 and they offer me that 175 as a gift card. It was so gross. I really hope they take care of you. 🙏🏽❤️

Thanks for sharing your experience ...I have spent much more time than 2 days ..they have let me wait without dryers for 1 month ...and have not looked into things despite me raising it through several platforms ...

I am still waiting for them to provide a resolution

One month?! Omg...that makes me feel hopeless. That’s disgusting of them. I’m so sorry. And the audacity to offer you $80 bucks!!! I feel enraged for you.
