Gas line health and safety hazard

I had my new gas stove installed yesterday. My entire house smelled like gas for hours after the install. I called Best Buy and they said someone would be out to fix the gas stove install later that same day or the next day at the latest because this was a health and safety hazard. The representative said they would call for the same day or next day fix.

No one called and no one showed up. I called the Appliance services phone number the next day and asked them why someone had not called or come to my house to fix the dangerous gas leak. They did not have the answer and could only offer me an appointment for an additional 5 days later.

I asked to speak to a manager and am currently still on hold 40 minutes later.
The rep I am speaking to just came back on the line and said that since I will not select an available service date (for 5 days from now) and since she can’t make me select one that there is nothing she can do.

What kind of training is Best Buy providing their installation and customer service team?

Thank you for making us aware of your experience. I understand this is a serious matter, and it is important this is addressed in a timely manner. If you have not done so already, please open all possible doors and windows, so the environment can be aired out. You may also want to consider contacting your gas provider, so they can take immediate action.
