Formal Complaint

I purchased a window AC unit and Geek Squad was supposed to take out the old unit and install the new. Not only were they not capable of doing that, they broke my window sill when they tried to wrestle the old unit free although it was screwed down onto the window sill. Although the installer accepted full responsibility, figuring out what my next steps should be and how to file for the damages was a nightmare. After much run-around, I was given information about how to file a claim so that I could be reimbursed for getting the window fixed - something I had to tackle while I had no AC during the heatwave. 

 

I exchanged a few emails with a claims associate at Sedgewick and sent all of my receipts as instructed. The online reviews for this third-party claims management company that Best Buy uses are horrible and there are numerous complaints to the Better Business Bureau. Like what other people say they have experienced, I, too, am being ignored. I have sent  emails and left voice mails for the claims associate over the last 2 months and never gotten a response. Is this is a ploy to have people ultimately give up so they don't have to pay the claim?

While I wish your visit to our Support Forums were under more fortunate circumstances, I do appreciate you taking the time to connect with us for assistance.  Rest assured, it benefits neither Best Buy, nor our customers to make the claim process with Sedgwick any more difficult, and I’ll be happy to see what we can do to get this situation turned around as soon as possible.
