Dryer Installation Damage

Hello, I purchased a new washer and dryer and it was delivered today with instillation. When the agent installed the dryer he pushed the dryer too far back and dented in the dryer exhaust hose. I didnt notice this until after he left, but before he left he mentioned there might be a burning smell and that its nothing to worry about, its normal with a new dryer installation. I didnt think much of it until I noticed that the dryer exahust hose was damaged. I needed the dryer to be working so I purchased my own exhaust hose and installed it myself. But for such an expensive pruchase, I would think it would be done correctly. I contacted Bestbuy customer support via chat and they said there was nothing they could do except have an agent come and look at it, or return the hose in store. The closest store is nearly 30 minutes away and would be would add more incovience to an already disappointing service. Is there anything bestbuy can do to compensate for such a poor job?

This is definitely not the kind of experience we want for our customers, and we want to make sure this situation is handled properly moving forward.

 

I recommend filing a claim with Sedgwick Claims Management Services, Inc. They are the insurance company that underwrites Best Buy claims for property damage that may occur during home deliveries or installations.  To file a new damage claim, please connect with Sedgwick Claims Management Services, Inc at (800) 620-7409. Once your claim has been opened, you should be able to call (855) 832-1338 between 8 a.m. -  4 p.m. CT, Monday-Friday, to get updates on your claim status.
