Delivery of Built-in Refrigerator - Delayed for 12 months ?

Hi, 

I would like to share my bad experience with respect to order of a build-in refregerator in this forum..

 

My original order was placed Order {removed per forum guidelines} on Nov 22, 2020

One of the Item ordered: KitchenAid - 29.5 Cu. Ft. Side-by-Side Built-In Refrigerator 

Best buy kept deferring my delivery until Sep 2021 !! 

 

After a long discussion, the customer representative recommended to me to find an alternative and convinced me to reorder a replacement item on Sep 2, 2021( Order # {removed per forum guidelines}). Even this item isn't expected to be delivered till Dec 23, 2021.  

 

Not sure, what's going on here !! Looking for thoughts on how to expedite the delivery of my item.

Everyone is buying applicances right now. The bad news is that there may be a shortage of inventory as news reports show there is a backup of goods on boat docs and etc. At least in my area where I live (California)

 

The best thing to do at this point is to see if they can escalate and deliver sooner. This may not be possible though
