Delivery man broke my door

I ordered refrigerator.

At first delivery was awful. One of the guy measured my door and he tried to move into my house with the refrigerator without detaching the door. I thought it wasn't enough to move into my house. So I already talked him but he ignored it.

At the end when he tried to move it into my house the refrigerator was stucked in the middle of the door and It won't be moved anymore. But one of deliver man tried to move it by force and there was crash sounds. Finaly the refrigerator was moved into my kitchen but it was dented seriously. And the left door side was broken. I requested replace another new one and got the new one.

Second deliver was not has any problem.

But the first delivery was really terrible. The guy who measured my door promised to me to fix my door by himself. 

But he just visited once and nailed roughly and said to me to come again to fix it. but he never visited anymore having some weird document that was signed from me by mistake.

I've sent so many text message but he lied to visit my house and never contact with me anymore now.

Rudely, he would give me the money online, so he told me to go buy some parts by myself.

I'm really embarrassed and upset by his behavior.

 

It took me a week to reorder and receive a new one because of the broken fridge, and despite the difficulty of using the fridge in the meantime, I continued to tolerate it.

 

Why should I struggle with the doors that have been broken by the people who delivered the refrigerator?

And who fixes the broken door?

Yikes. Sorry that happened! If you haven't already, I'd recommend contacting Sedgwick Claims Management (Best Buy's partner for damages) at (800) 620-7409. It sounds like you've already received a new refrigerator, but if you need more help in that regard, the quickest route for assistance would likely be to speak to a manager at the purchasing store.

It was online purchasing. How am I supposed to do find local store which was delivered from? Please let me know any idea about it. Thank you!

The order number in your post (which probably shouldn't be posted publicly) starts with a 111, which would indicate it was created in a Best Buy store. Orders created on BestBuy.com start with either BBY01- or BBYTX-. Do you happen to have a receipt for the purchase handy? That could tell you everything you need to know to get started. Otherwise, it may be in your order/purchase history within your BestBuy.com account.

We expect our associates and vendor partners to take great care when completing a delivery. I know that I would also feel upset if I discovered unexpected damage to my home. Sam15 is right on with his recommendation to call in and file a damage claim with Sedgwick at (800) 620-7409. Once your claim has been filed, you can receive updates on your claim by calling (855) 832-1338.

 

If you've already placed a damage claim, and are looking for assistance with receiving an update on your claim status, please send me a Private Message with the following information:

  • Full name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Sedgwick claim number (should be 15 digits)
