Delivery delayed 3 months with a day notice

We recently purchased a Viking series 5 range that came with a dishwasher. We purchased this as we are moving homes and do not have a stove. We also purchased this specific brand as I was a school teacher in Greenwood, where Viking is based. Due to recent delays we specifically bought this appliance at Best Buy (Pacific Sales) as they confined a delivery date of August 18th. I was just notified that this was pushed back at least 3 months, with no notice. I also have taken the day off of work, and am unsure just how we will get by for 3 months without a way to cook food. I was disappointed in our sales rep who seemingly tossed up his hands and blamed Viking. I can’t imagine a manufacturing delay only coming to light a day before anticipated delivery. I hope Best Buy can come through on their promise.

Welcome to our forums and thank you for connecting with our team here. Having been without major appliances before, I know how difficult and stressful such a situation can be for you and your family. The kitchen is like the heart of the home, so I know it's important that it stays fully functional as well as stoked to run the way you need. A 3 month delay notice is definitely not ideal, especially getting into a new home where you'll be needing to cook daily. That said, I would like to look into this to see how I may help.
