Delivery date not as advertised



I ordered a used iPhone on Wed 11/9 from Colorado. I had the option of in store pick up or free next day delivery, $5 for same day delivery. I went with free next day delivery as I'd be working from home all day. 


The order was not delivered. It was delayed - "should arrive Friday-Monday. If not here by Thursday the 24th, we'll refund your order." I had no tracking number, so I spoke to multiple reps asking for help and trying to just go to the store. They could not change it to in store pickup once a carrier was assigned. A carrier was not assigned until this morning. Still, they just told me they couldn't do it yesterday. 


Well today, FedEx says that they haven't received the package yet?? "A shipping label has been created." So Best Buy still has it but couldn't switch to in store pickup. Was the delivery date just a lie? Was in store pickup a lie?


It's not the end of the world if the phone comes Sunday, but there's still no carrier assigned, and the label says it's shipping from Oklahoma not locally. It seems like Best Buy just took my order and decided to try fill it after the fact. I don't want a refund, I want the phone, but I don't have the option either way - just stuck in limbo until a phone arrives at FedEx. 


Will circle back once FedEx receives the package.

Update: Now says FedEx did receive the package at 12am this morning and is in Texas. Will arrive tomorrow.
