Delivery Nightmare......Trying to cancel and going nowhere

I purchased a dishwasher online and setup for delivery on 10/20 between 12-8. Received a call on 10/19 saying the delivery and installation would be between 3-5pm. Made arrangements to have someone there for that time. The delivery/install guy called me at 11 AM to tell me he would be there in 10 minutes. I raced home from work and was there in less than 10 minutes. He never showed up. After numerous calls to best buy and the logistics company and being told he was around the corner and would be there in a minute, he never showed up. 

So after waiting for 1-1/2 hrs, I called the logistics company and told them I was leaving. They wanted me to reschedule?!?! I told them between 3-5 like was scheduled, they shrugged it off and wouldn't do it. I told them what is the sense in re-scheduling, you don't stick to it anyway. They canceled my order.

After talking to Best Buy, I told them there was no reason it shouldn't get delivered between 3 and 5 like it was supposed to. The install company said it wouldn't happen. So, BB wanted(and still wants) me to reschedule. Soonest appt. was 3 weeks out. I said cancel it, they said they can't it has to go to a special team to get canceled. I did an online chat about 3:30 in the afternoon and the person on chat first told me that the delay was because of Covid??? I said the installer called me and said he was on the way and that the Covid excuse was a lie. He then told me that the dishwasher was still out for delivery and would show up before the end of the day. Once again, I knew it was a lie. Later, I called BB again and spoke with a lady to get it cancelled. She said it would take 24-48 hours for the status to change and allow it to be cancelled.

I get a call on 10/23 from BB asking me to reschedule, I told her I wanted it canceled, she said OK, it will take 7-10 days to cancel. 

Nothing on my account has changed. You still can't cancel it, and it still is asking for a reschedule...


What am I supposed to do, I already have a bill for the dishwasher???

Thank you for posting on our forum for support, although I hate to hear about the runaround you were given with your dishwasher purchase. I understand your frustrations with this experience, and I'm happy to do what I can now to assist.


Were you able to get this order cancelled as you wanted to?
