Delayed Delivery - no notice, no care

I ordered a washer and dryer to be delivered on 2/1/21 (today). I even received an email on Friday saying it was still on for 2/1. I called today to find out that it is delayed until 2/15. I understand covid issues, but if I had been told when I purchased that there was any chance of 2/1 not being my delivery date I would not have purchased, as I am 9 months pregnant.

I called customer service (the Best Buy number) and they told me that when I bought the items, it showed the delivery for 2/15 and that I should call the store for help. So I waited for the store to open, called, was redirected and told their system is not working and they would email the store manage for me. He eventually called and refuted everything that customer service had said and gave me a number for corporate to speak to. They even said they called me multiple times about the new delivery date (which is false). Except that number sends you right to the original Best Buy number.

I then called back to the store and spoke with the assistant manager, who was trying to be helpful. He said try calling customer service again. So I did.

Only now, they are saying there is nothing they can do. I can get a tiny 10% discount in a gift card upon delivery. Except, I will be giving birth after these items are delivered and they want me to try calling and getting a hold of a supervisor when I’m in labor.

To top this all off, I sold my washer and dryer because the delivery was for today and I got an email the Friday before about delivery, so I sold my appliances.

I would like to speak to someone in corporate. If for nothing else, to try and have customer service and the stores be on the same page and not totally contradict each other so someone else would not have to go through what I’ve been through today.

Nothing good has come from this situation. It’s all been lies, half truths, blaming, and refuting stories.

I would like a 25% discount towards my order. Can anyone help?

As the person who does the laundry in my household, I can understand the importance of receiving your washer and dryer, and I also know that being as far along in a pregnancy as you are, means that it is more important than ever to have your units delivered ASAP. I am happy to look into this further!
