I had a washer and dryer delivered and the huge delivery truck drove onto our driveway rather than parking on the street, which delivery trucks typically do. While pulling into the driveway the weight of the truck cracked the concrete and while pulling out of the driveway they ran over our lawn and broke sprinklers. I watched the driver get out of his truck, inspect the damage and proceed to drive away. I contacted Best Buy and was told insurance claims needed to be handled through Sedgwick, their outside insurance company. After contacting Sedgwick about the damage they said it’s not their problem and handed me off to DSI Companies (the company hired by Best Buy to perform the delivery/install). After contacting DSI Companies they said it was not their problem and that it needed to be handled by the actual trucking company (Yuri with US Royal Transportation) and their insurance. So, I’m on the 3rd company removed from Best Buy to deal with this issue. It seems like Best Buy just wants to distance itself from taking any responsibility for hiring an incompetent, sloppy third party delivery company.
Yuri with US Royal Transportation finally made it out to my house to inspect the damage. He proceeded to say that his truck couldn’t have cracked the driveway (like he’s some structural engineer) and that I can’t prove it. He then pulled out a tape measure to measure the width of the tire tracks in the lawn. He wanted me to get a bid for the sprinklers, and I got him a bid of $200 a few hours after he left. He asked me to get some more bids to see if “we” can find a better deal. I told him he can get additional bids if he wants to but, i’m not wasting any more time looking for a deal for him. I hate to be petty but at this point I’m not concerned about the money, I would like this delivery company to just step up and take responsibility for the damage.
Through this his whole process I’ve been courteous, honest, and more than accommodating to everyone I’ve dealt with, and in return I've been dismissed, continuously inconvenienced, and treated like a liar. A routine washer/dryer delivery has turned into a nightmare, and Best Buy has borne no responsibility for any of it. Best Buy needs to stand behind their contractors and handle problems such as this in house, not pass customers off to other companies where we have little to no recourse to remedy problems.

Thank you for joining us at the Best Buy Community forums. I apologize for the poor experience that you’ve had in trying to get your damage claim resolved.
If you are unhappy with the way DSI Companies or US Royal Trucking is handling this claim, your best bet would be to reach back out to Sedgwick with your claim number. They can be reached at (855) 832-1338. You can ask them to follow up with DSI Companies on your behalf.
If you are not able to get in touch with Sedgwick, please reach out to me through a private message by using the link in my signature below this post. I’ll need your name, email address, phone number, and claim number. I can then reach out to Sedgwick and ask them to contact you.
