Cancelled Orders

I ordered an 18-inch dishwasher from the Best Buy website on November 30, 2018. Since then, my appointment for delivery and installation has been cancelled three times―on December 15, December 26, and January 5. I was given a new appointment time after my last cancellation, but given past experience, and the contradictory information on my “order status” site, I am dubious, to say the least. My order status says that my new appointment is January 16, but it also says that my payment is being refunded. I don’t want my money back, I want my dishwasher.

 

This has been the most frustrating experience I have ever had trying to order something online. I have called the service line repeatedly, used the chat service on the website, and visited my local store, but I haven’t received anything but platitudes. In my last conversation, the associate told me that the appliance had been ordered, but there was apparently a snafu between the warehouse and the local site where the appliance should have been sent for pickup. She promised that someone would look into it, but I haven’t heard anything yet.

 

In the meantime, I’m left to wonder if the appliance I ordered is available at all, or even exists. If it doesn’t exist, why is it advertised on your website? If it isn’t available, I would be willing to substitute any other dishwasher with 18 inch width and 33 inch or less height. Given that there are about 20 dishwashers of this type listed for sale on your website, I don’t see why it should be so difficult to obtain one, unless Best Buy makes a habit of advertising appliances that aren’t available.

 

If it is impossible to get an 18 inch dishwasher from Best Buy, I would like to know that, in order to avoid wasting any more time. If there is a way to get it done, please tell me how, because nothing I have tried has worked so far.

 

I would appreciate any help you can give me with this matter. My order number is {removed per forum guidelines}.

Having an order constantly get pushed back repeatedly would be alarming, to say the least, but I’m grateful you registered with the Best Buy forums to ask us for assistance!
