I just had a Compustar two-way remote starter installed yesterday. When I got home, I noticed a flashing blue light above the dashboard that did not turn off if I locked or unlocked the car. I found it very distracting as I park right outside a window.
In the morning, I called the installer at Best Buy and asked if this light can be turned off or disabled. He said that it shows that the antenna is working and cannot be turned off or relocated. He advised covering it with electrical tape if I don't want to see it.
Best Buy, is that the best answer? I haven't tried driving at night yet but I would think this light is going to be very distracting. It seems that there should be an option to disable it. I'm not happy that it's running off the battery either. If I'd known about this I would have stayed with the one-way system, which apparently does not have a light.

Hello, isahel,
Welcome to our community! Thank you for choosing Geek Squad for your remote starter install. I’m sorry to hear that the blue light from the antenna needed to communicate to your car is driving you bonkers. Also, I apologize if the agent who addressed your concerns might not have done so in a professional manner.
Many newer vehicles have this kind of feature; however, I’ve only noticed it when the vehicle is parked and not started. Is this light active while you’re driving the car? I’d be happy to partner with your local Best Buy’s install bay to ensure that the install was performed correctly and to address any of your lingering concerns. Can you please send me a private message with your full name, phone number, email address, and which location you had this installed at? A private message can be sent to me sharing those requested details by choosing the blue “Private Message” button in my signature.
Respectfully,
