BestBuy Delivery is the worst and would like to make a complaint to be looked into

Ordered an exercise bike that was delivered and installed damaged to us.

 

Had to wait 10 days for bestbuy to come pick up the bike.   The driver first called me from a blocked number to tell me he was 20 mins away.  This is odd because I am an elite member and I have had 5-6 deliveries to this address from Best Buy and never got a call from a blocked number.  Either way no big deal about that.  I left work to meet the driver in the lobby in 20 mins.

 

25 mins later I get a call from Compton {removed per forum guidelines} stating the driver was outside and could not find parking.  The lady immediatley sounded like she was in a rush.  I told her there is a loading zone in the front of my building where they can park the truck and pick up the damaged bike.

 

She replied she sees no loading zone.  I told her I have had 4-5 previous best buy deliveries here and never had an issue with them finding the loading zone.  I told her I was outside looking for the truck and saw no truck.  I gave her the address twice more and told her I was outside and there was no truck even looking for parking.  She put me on hold and came back on and told me she still could not find parking, even though I was outside and did not see any truck.

 

I told her can 1 person from their team meet me in the front of the lobby so I can show them where to park.  She replied no that they can not get out of the truck to meet me in the lobby.  This is absurd to me as why would they not want me to help them find the proper place to park, and they were probably at the wrong address.

 

She got really nasty with me and said "do you want me to recall my driver"  I told her no I need the driver to pick this up but they have to meet me if they cant understand how to park in the loading zone.  She told me they will not meet me before they park, and quickly said they have been there since 12:25 and they will leave in 15 mins because they cant park.  This was at 1235 and I was walking outside and there was no truck in site of anyone waiting.  They must have been at the wrong address and the lady on the phone was impossible to talk to because she refused to believe they were at the wrong address.  The person who called never told me their name but their number is {removed per forum guidelines}, called back several times and got no answer.

 

This is not a way to treat a customer who got a defective device and I will not be ordering from bestbuy anymore after the way this customer treated me after I purchased a $2,500 bike that was delivered defective.  This employee needs to be repromanded as no customer should be treated like this.  

 

I still have the damaged bike and need to spend another 1 hour of my life calling support to set this up again.  If I get the same pick up driver I will have the same problem all over again... Please help me

Thank you for taking the time to stop by our community forums and letting us know about your recent experience with this pick up appointment. An exercise bike is no small purchase and I know if I ordered one I would want to make it arrived in perfect condition. We strive to make the delivery process as easy as possible so I'm disappointed to hear that this hasn't been your experience so far.
