Best buy installer flooded my kitchen - Best Buy won't take responsibility

I had a dishwasher installed by Best Buy and after running it for the first cycle it immediately flooded my entire kitchen. After 2 months of waiting for Sedgwick to resolve the claim I get a response that Best Buy does not take any responsibility for the damage and that the claim is denied. How on earth can they tell me they are not responsible when they are the ones who installed the dishwasher??? This has been the worst experience ever...damaged my kitchen and won't take any responsibility...

Not sure about this instance, many places use third party installers which are required to carry Thier own insurance etc. Was it a third party installer that you need to contact or was it a best buy truck?

Re: Best buy installer flooded my kitchen - Best Buy won't take responsibility

Greetings, swimmerdude123!

Welcome to the Best Buy forums!

I appreciate you taking the time to write us regarding your experience with your dishwasher install, and waiting on a response. We’ve been unusually busy recently, and it is taking longer than I’d like to get back to everyone.

Having the need to work with an insurance company is complex enough without it being complicated by communications issues. Although I won't promise a different outcome, I'd like to review this for you. I will need some more details to begin.

Will you please send me a private message with your Sedgwick Claim Number, full name, phone number, and e-mail address? You can send me a private message by clicking the blue “Private Message” button next to my signature at the bottom of this post. I look forward to your response!

Sincerely,
