Best Buy's Installation Scheduling a Disappointment

To make it brief, my original installation date was 28 December 2020. This was confirmed by a Best Buy email.

 

Next day, I get another Best Buy email asking me to schedule an appoint. So I used the chat option and was told the first available date was 1 February 2021. That was not acceptable and I wasted 40 minutes with the Best Buy folks in chat.

 

So I called the phone number and actually got an intelligent and helpful person. The new installation date is 2 January 2021. This only took a few minutes.

 

Why couldn't the chat Best Buy customer service have been as useful?  We will see if Best Buy honors the 2 Jan installation date. I have to say, I am not particulary confident that will take place.
