Awful treatment and delivery service

Ordered a very simple $200 television stand.  I am a member of Total Tech or Geek Squad or whatever it's called.

 

Day 1: They show up at my door and inform me that the product is damaged. I need to reschedule. A new appointment is set up for a few days later.

 

Day 2: I get a call early on: Whoops - they forgot to load the replacement on the truck.  Swworry.  A new appointment is set up for a few days later.

 

Day 3: Yesterday. Delivery window is from noon to 8 pm.  No one shows up.  No call. No email.  No contact of any kind.  I call "customer service" and am told the item has been delivered.  I laugh without joy and inform them that no, the item has not been delivered.  I'm told then it is a) "in transit" and b) there is a computer "glitch" that makes it seem like it was delivered. But sadly, they can't contact anyone since it's late.  I have to call back tomorrow. Oh, I'm given an extension for a direct line, but there's no way to enter it.  The phone tree doesn't seem to offer any option for extensions nor does it recogize or acknowledge the extension number when I try to enter it.

 

Day 4: Today. I call back.  After being sent to the wrong department and having to wait on hold, I get someone with the notes from the night before (at least).  I'm told the outright lie that I was called and no one answered, and someone knocked and I was not home (all total garbage since I was not 10 feet from the door or phone all day yesterday, and I tell the person so).  Hearing that, I'm told the item is "in transit."  So I've been told that I have to call back in 2 hours when the "in transit" is updated.

 

So that's where I'm at.  Still don't have my item and it's been four days. Thanks, Best Buy!  Quality service!

 

Hey, here's a suggestion for a new tagline: "A glitch? A lie? Must be Best Buy!"

I can understand that having delivery issues can be difficult. I would be glad to look into your order for you if you could Private Message your full name, email and phone number. We can also take any complaints and look into the delivery team not having attempted the delivery for you.
