do i have to install the software for my camera in order to get pictures off my memory card/thumb drive or can i just put my memory card/thumb drive into my tower.

As long as you are using windows xp or newer, the operating system should just use the standard mass storage device drivers.

There should be no additional software needed.

i have windos vista and it will not read either one.  when i put my thumb drive in it comes up the windos is not responding.  once i take it out its fine.  as for my memory card it will not do anything with that.  what do i do.
