To extend on what AWBrown said, Best Buy tries its best to have the correct specifications for all products but sometimes may have an incorrect listing. If you receive an item that was not as described due to the way it was listed or just received a wrong item in general, Best Buy will cover your costs to send it back for a refund.
You will have to contact them for special return instructions.
Here is what the page officially says:
"f you receive a product that is damaged in shipping, defective or that is not the product you ordered, please return it to a Best Buy store and we'll arrange for a replacement. If you would rather return the item by mail, please call us for special instructions at 1-888-BEST BUY (1-888-237-8289). We will cover all reasonable and customary ground shipping fees."

Alienware is Dell, so you may wish to consult Dell online for answers on which product is correct. Dell does have their own online community but for reasons due to the forums terms of service I can't post them here.
Dell also has an online knowledge base of models it sells so you may find the specs there.

The user manual on Dells web site for the Aurora R5 shows four memory slots.

What I would first suggest doing is get the information from the Service Tag
The service tag is a unique alphanumeric identifier that allows Dell service technicians to identify the hardware components in your computer and access warranty information. The Service Tag label is located at the rear of your computer towards the base.
Then go to this page.
http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/
If the link I posted gets removed go to dell dot com / support / home/us/en/19 (take out the spaces and change the dot to a dot
This is Dells support page. Enter the service tag number in the appropiate spot and it should tell you what Dell you have.
Please keep in mind Best Buy does not package the computers, if it is the wrong computer (and it happens) Dell made the mistake.
Also, check the label on the outside of the box to verify you were given an R5
Now one thing to keep in mind if they actually sent you a more powerful machine...well you know what to do.
