I bought the mini dvi to vga adapter and then the vga cord to connect the macbook to my tv... but it still wont work. my tv says mode not supported. I dont know how to make it work any other way. I have a 19" Dynex 720p Widescreen Flat-Panel LCD HDTV. If anyone could help that would be great!
have you try changing the resolution to 800 X 600?
sometimes playing around with resolution/screen refresh rate, will get you going. you need to find out what is your TV refresh rate and the supported resolutions.
