Re: broken screen

Hi Rodrigo –

Having a younger sibling breaking expensive stuff is something I’m all too familiar with. That said replacing damaged laptop displays is definitely something Geek Squad can do. Please know though that most of the time this work is not done at your local precinct, but instead your computer would be sent to one of our central repair centers to have the work done. This being our busiest time of the year, it may be a few weeks turn around on your repair.

As for cost, bobberuchi is correct, as after parts and labor costs the display is one of the most expensive parts of a laptop to replace. Depending on the age of your laptop and how much you originally spent, it may make more sense to get a new one instead of having the display replaced. Either way I recommend making an appointment with your local Geek Squad, where they should be able to give you a cost estimate and recommendations on what you should do.

Best Wishes,
