Hi guys,
I need some help. I need to get a new laptop for my senior year of high school and hopefully many years into college. I was thinking of a screen between 13 inches and 15 inches. As I researched laptops, the top two I found were the HP Spectre x360 and the Lenovo Thinkpad x1 yoga. Can someone help me out and compare these two. I'm not sure which one to buy. Thanks in advance for your advice, recommendations, and expertise.

Could you provide links to the two products you are researching currently? It would help other community members with a better choice. As far as warranty service I am very impressed with HP. My friend got a 17" laptop last year and just before the warranty was up, it had a problem, HP overnighted a shipping box to send the computer back and it's currently awaiting repairs but the rep that helped them on the phone is top notch.
HP has come a long way as far as quality innovations and better product offerings. I watch QVC all the time when they have a new offering and it makes me want to have each item they offer

If you are wanting something that's going to last you in the long run, get the biggest screen you can with the highest resolution. I know for presentations in class you want something you have lot's of resolution and room to operate on. I was highly impressed by the 4K specs on the HP link you gave me, and the SSD storage option is very important if you're going to do a lot with this laptop especially on the go.
I know with hard drives in the past, HP had something called a 360 sense to help protect your data if you accidentally dropped your laptop it locked the drive to prevent data loss.
Now with the evolution of SSD laptops you won't have to worry about performance degrading and programs open up lightning fast.

Ok so you think that the HP device would be the better buy in the long run?

Yes, the HP by far. Great service all around. Lots of ways to get support offline and online.
