Can anyone tell me the maximum memory for this laptop? HP Pavilion g7-2235dx

You've asked a million dollar question lol. Even HP's site doesn't specify. It does look like it comes with one 4GB stick, with another slot open, so at the minimum, it'll handle 8GB. It "might" do two 8GB sticks, but I doubt it.

If it's the Intel version, it's 2 slots with 4gb per slot and a total of 8gb.

16GB works fine. The maximum amount on the specs is based on what the manufacturer tests with and offers as an upgrade option.

I totally agree with TheLexMachine,
This laptop support 16gb of ram I just did the upgrade for the heck of it and works like a charm.
