There is a huge selectoin of laptops at Best Buy with a variety of options and differences.
I would go into the store and take a look at some of these I list below. Good quality and reliable. And affordable.

Dell Inspiron
There are others that are less expensive but these two and their brothers are all good places to start looking.
Keep in mind these are not meant for gaming. They are going to be perfect for browsing the web, email, social media, and word processing.
