What material is the Samsung notebook 7 spin made from?

I was looking at samsung's new notebook 7 spin, but I don't see on best buy's website or samsung's what material the laptop is made from. Is it aluminum or plastic?

Also is there one that comes in 2K or 4K, or is 1080p the best they offer?

Would the notebook 9 be a better device?

I've had 7 laptops since last may, I can't have another expensive laptop not work. I have a new hp spectre and dell xps collecting dust on a shelf because they barely work or in the case of the dell crashes when I turn it on. Geek squad won't fix them despite having one of the best protection plans, and its been too long to return them.

I live 40-50 mins from best buy, so it's not exactly easy to take a pc, and then when geek squad claims they have fixed them and I return home, it is not easy to bring them back. The spectre has a issue that can't be fixed, its a office issues. Microsoft issued a patch but it hasn't fixed it yet, just made it a little better. And the dell isn't worth the price of me taking it to another repair store. It's just a bad computer even without the crashing

All I want is a laptop to use Microsoft office and google with and yet I can't find one to do those simple tasks...

And I know there are really good gaming laptops, but for me to buy one would be a waste. I would only use it for office since I have a gaming desktop I built myself (The only pc that has ever worked aside from a sony viao I had for a year)

And I have a mac, worst computer I have ever had. Three hard drives in two years... and now the 4th is failing and it doesn't let me sign in and of course geek squad won't fix that. It's in a box under a bed but I can't get rid of it because it has important pictures.

Re: What material is the Samsung notebook 7 spin made from?

In your previous postings, Best Buy had suggested a remedy for you to take it back to the store and get it resolved if you are still having issues with the unit.

I am not an expert on Dell, but I do know @SoMeAm-HP is an authorized rep of Hewlett Packard so if you're encountering any problems, she is your best line of advice for helping you determine the right course of action with your HP unit.

Now what are you looking to do with this notebook? A review onlline said they attempted to test that notebook for HD content specifically made available on NetFlix in the highest resolution but were unable to tell the difference due to the size of the laptop. You may notice it more plugged into a monitor that supports it.

Re: What material is the Samsung notebook 7 spin made from?

That's not what I am asking. I just wanted to know what the material it was made from was. Like aluminum or plastic or some other metal composition. I don't see what the screen resolution, which is clearly listed has to do with the material.
And all I want is a laptop to use ms office with. My hp spectre cannot be fixed. I've talked to hp support and Microsoft support. No one can fix it. It's a office/windows 10 issue that causes high cpu usage. Until a patch is issues it will never work correctly.

There is no reason to take any of my computers to the geek squad at the best buy near (meaning 40 mins awa) my home. They will not fix any of my pcs. They take them (sometimes charge me in the case of the mac 3 years ago) and return the pc without solving the issues.
The mac I had to take to a apple store at a nearby mall because geek squad replaced my failing hdd with another bad hdd, and if I remember correctly that happened twice. Then I asked them a year ago to fix the log in problem where it wouldn't let me log in. Well, they didn't do that. All they did was hand me a drive with my pictures on it, then say "it's fixed"...when I got home the mac still wouldn't let me sign in or use the apple restore option either.

The hp I took, and a Asus laptop, and geek squad returned them a few days later saying "we couldn't find anything wrong." Yet anyone who can read could see the giant 50% cpu usage beside ms word in the task manager and also feel how hot the pc becomes. And the Asus, well, the moment it turns on and someone logged in it instantly froze. As in, nothing works, the cursor would'nt even move. So how they can miss that, and claim "nothing was wrong" was a mystery to me when they couldn't have possible logged into the laptop to see what was wrong with it being frozen all the time
I took the Asus to a repair store, and a few days later it was fixed. Simple fix to. The hdd wasn't allocating the memory correctly, so none of the applications were function correctly, causing the freezing.

There is no point for me to take the dell. All that will happen is geek squad will "fix" it, and then I will have the exact same problems when I get home. The only thing I can do with it is either go to the repair storemail that fixed my Asus (which was old and not really worth fixing) or contact dell support and send it to them. Because apparently a $270 support plan doesn't do anything. Not where I live at least.

And the dell is not even that good. I only bought it because it was one of my last options. The Samsung is my last option. There are no other laptops to choose from aside from really nice gaming laptops that would be wasted when I use them only for MS Office. And most gaming laprops are heavy and too big for common everyday use. I have a gaming rig I built myself, I don't need another

Re: What material is the Samsung notebook 7 spin made from?

Not good that you're having issues with computer, hopefully it will go better with this one.

I read an article online and it says the spin 7 has an aluminum chasis.

(Not sure if this link will be allowed to stay) but this link does have some really good write-ups on it.

Hello computershateme, Although your post is about the material in another notebook, this sentence caught my attention: "I have a new hp spectre and dell xps collecting dust on a shelf because they barely work..." I regret your challenges with your HP computer. If you would like for me to discuss with you your HP Spectre issue and to see how HP can assist, please email me via Best Best's email tool (click on yellow envelope above). I will need your contact information and the product number and serial number of your HP Spectre. Thanks to @hockeycanuckj for tagging me. Kind regards,
