WavePad is good or Audacity

 

I used to have a program that came with a Sound Blaster Audigy that was really nice. Easy to use and very functional.

However Audio Music Lab makes some cutting edge tools.

 

The Music Lab premium will allow you to also edit the sound in videos.  Which I would estimate will take a lot of RAM
