Re: Upgrade my Laptop's Graphics Card

Laptops are not upgrade-able in that manner.

Unfortunately, that's the bad luck of any electronic, there's going to be bad Apples... wait that's a horrible pun.

Just confirming what RealGeorge has said.

99.99% of all laptops do not allow GPU upgrades. Your computer is not in that .01% that can be upgraded. Sorry.

Re: Upgrade my Laptop's Graphics Card

I had .01% not .1% Smiley Happy

But then again even .01% may still be to high because it has been a long time since I have seen any GPU replaceable laptops for sale. They just are not that common and not that in demand.

Re: Upgrade my Laptop's Graphics Card

The only laptops you will find that have upgradeable GPU's are generally going to be the higher end laptops.  but the laptop forms are designed around a particular build.

the MSI and iBuyPower laptops have upgrade capability, however only if the GPU will fit.  And even then the instructions for doing so from the manufacturer are pretty daunting as there  may be many layers of components to remove before you can ge to it.

Best bet if you want somthing upgradable is to buy a tower or buy a laptop that will be a monster for 3 or 4 years then get a new one.

I am not an employee of Best Buy and all opinions left on this forum are my own. Please leave Kudo’s if you like a post or click Accept as Solution if a post answers your query.

Those gtx 1050 laptops are budget machines, no upgrading those. (Msi gp62)
