Trouble with Computer Installation

Hello, I purchased the CyberPowerPC - Gamer Ultra Desktop - AMD FX Black Edition-Series - 8GB Memory - AMD Radeon RX480 - 1... last thursday online. It arrived yesterday, and since then I have been having problems with setup. Specifically, the graphics card. The drivers are all up to date, up to 16.11.3. The error in question is a blue screen of death with the error "Video Scheduler Internal Error". The error first popped up while goign onto facebook of all things. I don't know if it pops up while doing anything else. I do know that I did install Dishonored 1 and when I tried to play it, it opened up some window that I guess was labeling the error, but I don't think I was able to save it. But there was no blue screen, just no game.

 

Tried Windows tech support this morning and they had me reset the computer, which hasn't fixed the problem. But all the drivers are definitely up to date as I had to reinstall them.

Looking online, I understand that I need the dump file, but it keeps telling me that I do not have permission to access the file and as such, I cannot compress it to upload it(at least that is what the windows website says I need to do to upload). So any and all information to help me help someone fix this would be fantastically awesome.

Congratulations on your new gaming system. As a fellow gamer I just want to say welcome to my world. Now I see you are having some nasty video issues so I am going to try to help you with these problems.

Do you have any other graphical/video drivers installed? I know certain games install like a Nividia driver of sorts.

Couple of other passive tests we can do here to determine if it's that specific driver version.

1) Download a driver version couple of below that. (make sure auto update is off)
2) There should also be a default video driver that normally works.This is in relation to the driver that is installed upon first windows startup before going to ADM website etc. Have you tried just using that to see if it works fine?

Make sure your BIOS is up to date as well.

Have you ran a virus scan of your computer? I would suggest downloading Malwarebytes just to be on the safe side new computer or not.

You want to use the tool to uninstall and reinstall the AMD driver(s). You will have to boot into safe mode to do this if I remember right (f5/f6)

Run the SFC Command to Repair System Files
You’ll need to do this from and Administrator Command Prompt window. To open one on Windows 10 or 8.1, right-click the Start button and select “Command Prompt (Admin)”. On all versions of Windows, you can also search the Start menu for Command Prompt, right-click it, and select Run as Administrator.

Type the following command into the Command Prompt window and press Enter to run a full system scan:

sfc /scannow

Run the DISM Command to Fix SFC Problems
On Windows 10, 8.1, and 8, the Deployment Image & Servicing Management tool can fix component store corruption that prevents the SFC command from working properly.

To run this command, open a Command Prompt as administrator. Type the following command and press Enter. DISM will check your Windows component store for corruption and automatically fix any problems it finds.

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

One last idea as well and it's a long shot.. there are times when audio can affect your graphical items so make sure your audio driver is correct. Is it a USB auido or a onboard audio?

Do these crashes happen just during general browsing? Or is it after the computer wakes up? After you open/close games? Just trying to help pinpoint stuff. If you have multiple monitors you could also keep an eye on what servers /processes are performing extremely higher versus others so we could get that reported when it crashes as that may be indicator as well.

Had an afterthought as well, as the computer is still new if you signed up for Geek Squad services you could also contact Geek Squad and see if they can assist you with the problem
