I was given an Insignia tablet, NS-15MS0832B-10-C, with a broken screen. I put a new screen on it and it fired right up (it's been sitting for a couple of years), but it is asking for a gmail log-in. The woman who gave it to me has no idea what the password is.
She never used that email, (it was set up for her when she got the tablet) and the email recovery options are out of date and not usable. I know an Android tablet can be reset on startup, but is there a way to do that with a Windows 10 tablet?

I would recommend following the steps in this Microsoft Support article, Reset your Windows 10 local account password. If further assistance is needed, I recommend contacting Microsoft directly for assistance with Windows 10.

I can get into recovery , no problem, but it won't reset without a recovery key. The link it provides is for a bitlocker key linked to a Microsoft account, but this tablet is locked with a gmail account and as far as I know, was only used with a local account.
