I have seen numerous complaints regarding these touchpad issues with several tablet-with-keyboard models. First, let me say that these issues are common with touchpads, in general, but we do not have touchpad settings to make adjustments. My most common issue is inadvertent zooming when using 2-finger scroll. Occasionally I inadvertently touch the pad and relocate the cursor, but I seem to have trained myself to avoid it most of the time. I do not have a solution for either, but a couple of suggestions may at least help others deal with both issues, both of which involve an understanding of what is happening and how to try to avoid them.
Inadvertent zoom when 2-finger scrolling is a nuisance, but I finally figured out, I think, what causes it, and I try to be a little more deliberate when scrolling, and it seems to help. When 2-finger scrolling, it is easy to let the two fingers to very slightly spread or move together which the touchpad sense as spread or pinch zoom gestures. Even if you are careful to keep the fingers together, angling the gesture or slightly twisting the fingers moves the tips in or out relative to vertical, again creating a very slight spread or pinch. The solution that works (most of the time) is to be careful to keep the fingers together AND make the gesture straight up or down with no twisting or angling. I admit it is a bit of a pain, but it is pretty easy to get used to. To me, these little tablets are good enough to justify the trouble.
The solution to the inadvertent taps that relocate the cursor is similar - being more careful. This is a bit easier if you have had typing training and keep your thumbs over the space bar. Otherwise it is just a matter of taking care to keep your thumbs up.
Sorry if all of this is less than satisfying, but it works for me.

Good Morning RainmanP,
Thank you so much for sharing your suggestions to mitigate a common concern that’s been posted here on our community about our Insignia Tablets with accidently zooming, or touches. Your feedback, and insight is very helpful. I know from time to time I also struggle with proper form which can be remedied to avoid some of these issues. I appreciate the time you’ve taken to post your quick fix, and advice on this matter. I hope you had a great weekend.

Over the many years I have been using PCs I have run into frustrating situations many times. When I search online I usually find many others experiencing the same situation. Sometimes I have found help; often I have not. If I know or can find a solution, or at least a work-around, to such a situation I am happy to share it.

I was very frustrated with my inability to avoid tapping the touchpad while typing, until I realized that one of the blue alternate function keys disables the touchpad. There is a little red light on the keyboard that illuminates when the touchpad is disabled. Pressing the Fn key again toggles the touchpad back on. This solution works for me especially if I am typing a long document or e-mail.
