So I just got a new pc

And it only has 8 gigs of ram I want to upgrade but heres the problem my dad got me a 2 year warranty for this pc for 200$ and If i added more ram it would void the warranty but and my dad does not have alot of money so I dont want to waste his money on the warranty but I also dont want to wait 2 years to upgrade my ram or else non of my the new games in two years would be compatible.

If someone could tell me what do to please help.

Truth be told you don't need to upgrade.

Most games are designed to work on 8 GB of Ram or less.  Look a the system requirements and recomendations for a number of games on the market today.

Almost all of them recommend 8 GB of RAM.  What will be of more importance for your game play is the GPU.  Your is a GTX 1060 which will allow you to play games at a very intense level. 

Where you would want more ram and cpu power is if you were doing a lot of photo and video editing.

I agree. The computer's specs look good. Unless it will be used for very processor intensive tasks, it should be fine.

My suspicion is that opening the unit would risk voiding the warranty. I think that Dell would have enclosed a copy of the warranty's terms in the box. If not, it might be accessible online. 🙂

I would include that...any form of end user modifications.

One option that may be doable would be to have any modifications done by a Dell authorized repair center.

I would suggest contacting Dell customer support and get a final definitive answer.

If you want to upgrade RAM you should have Geek Squad do it.  However, that servcie itself is not cheap

Yes, you should upgrade the versions of the OS. The update is very necessary to make the system runs properly and to make the update install you have to do the process of the {removed per forum guidelines}

Personally, I wouldn't upgrade. 8 gigs should be just fine.
